Industry Expert Council
Mr Eric Lin is a practitioner in applied mycology and sustainable agritech, with a track record spanning community agriculture, commercial mushroom cultivation, and applied R&D. He started out in urban farming in 2017 as an NParks volunteer and Community in Bloom trainer, leading community garden initiatives to multiple Gold and Platinum awards before moving into commercial-scale cultivation, where he single-handedly designed, built, and managed a smart container mushroom farm complete with laboratory, incubation, and fruiting facilities. He serves on the Working Committee for Singapore Standard SS 675:2025 (Specification for Good Agricultural Practice) under the Singapore Standards Council and Nanyang Polytechnic's Standards Development Organisation, and has represented Singapore on international platforms including Thailand's Inventors' Day 2025 — where his research on medicinal mushroom cultivation and bio-battery technology from spent mushroom substrate earned gold and silver awards — and the Shanghai Agriculture International Summit 2025. His work reflects a hands-on, research-driven approach to advancing sustainable agriculture and mushroom-based innovation across the region.
